- AAshleyNew York State •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoReserved a dinner night here for my boyfriend during Valentine’s Day weekend. This Inn/restaurant was about 40 min from our home in Cold Spring, and unfortunately, we had bad weather (snow), but we made the trek. Despite arriving 10 min late due to the weather, they were completely understanding and super kind. The food was excellent. Probably some of the best food we’ve had since leaving NYC. The food was fresh, savory yet light. The waitress was very kind, attentive and the food arrived in a timely manner. The drinks were great too. It was truly a romantic dinner and quite cozy during a winter storm. It took us an hour to get back home due to the roads being much worse than when we arrived; but it was honestly well worth it. We will most definitely be returning.More infoThe Vintage at The Millbrook InnPrice: Expensive• American• Millbrook•4.9

Located on the second floor, the restaurant welcomes you with a stunning lobby and fireplace, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The main dining room is beautifully designed, offering both elegance and incredible acoustics—ideal for enjoying the wonderful Brooklyn-based jazz trio playing old-time classics. The food was just as impressive as the ambiance. We started with the indulgent mushroom croquettes and the refreshing Amber salad, followed by perfectly prepared baked cod and a decadent lobster Newburgh we simply couldn’t resist. Dessert was equally exceptional—a delicate meringue cake and a rich Arethusa Farms ice cream sundae that left us savoring every last bite. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was attentive, and the lively yet intimate atmosphere made for enjoyable conversations with fellow guests. We left absolutely satisfied and are already looking forward to returning in the spring to experience the rooftop bar. The Courtroom is a true gem—elevated dining with charm, character, and an experience worth savoring.More infoThe Abner HotelPrice: Moderate• American• Litchfield•4.5
- NNicoleVIPNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoHad the best Valentine’s Day dinner here. The chocolate brioche bread was delicious. We also received a complimentary cauliflower soup shooter which had excellent flavor. For appetizers we got the yellowtail tartare, which was fresh, and potato and blue cheese flatbread with bacon and onion, which was well balanced. For dinner, I got the scallops with green onion risotto and my fiancé got the short rib. We both cleaned our plates, which is rare for me. In addition to this wonderful meal was equally wonderful service. Our server was so personable and made some much appreciated recommendations as first timers. Will definitely be eating here again!More infoArethusa al TavoloPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Bantam•4.9

- AAlanVIPNew York City •58 reviews4.0Dined on 3 Feb 2025Went for Monday Pasta Night prix fixe@$45. Great service, friendly and very attentive. The appetizers were delicious and plentiful. The pasta was just ok: cavatelli with duck ragu lacked flavor, tasted like it could have been made with ground turkey-no “oomph.” The spaghetti with clams and chili crisp was swimming in chili oil, tasty but too wet. Chocolate rocky road cheesecake was more like a thick mousse, but was tasty - albeit a bit too sweet. Not sure I think this is a “good” value, when you add in the wine (3glasses for two of us) and tax and tip the bill still comes to $165, for a pasta entree. I Love the ambience of this place, and it always has a very attractive crowd, just wish it was a bit less expensive.More infoTroutbeckPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Amenia•4.5
