The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize.     Very crowded in a Wednesday evening, but we got a round table in the middle of the restaurant for six people. We could hear each other well despite the background noise. Good energy, excellent attentive, service. Menu is relatively small, but all six items were very good to excellent. Salmon, steak special, flatbread pizza, and skol burger all well rated very good to excellent. Second time here, will return.

    We love Kincaid's. Often go there pre-theater at Ordway. Last night was extremely busy- both a Wild Game and Ordway performance. Kitchen was a little backed up so we ended up having to take dinner to go after waiting for approximately 40 minutes. That being said, the dinner was delicious- I ate half of my seafood pasta after the show and the rest will be my lunch for today. Very generous portion with a lot of crab but only 4 shrimp.
