Best Barbecue Restaurants in Old Town Alexandria

This was the perfect choice for our Valentine's Day engagement. We were split between the Family Style southern menu and the Valentine's Day menu. Both looked good but the southern style gave the best taste of what Succotash is all about. Our server Eric made it an amazing experience! He brought us a special dessert and really helped make it a special occasion. We will always remember our special day and the family style meal at Succotash

Service was great and food was delicious. Had the chips and queso, brisket sandwich and brisket meat with fries. Consistently good every time we visit.

My wife and I had a great, no fuss Valentine’s Day dinner. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and the full menu was available plus a V-day featured special. My wife enjoyed a Caesar salad and the BBQ salmon while I had the catfish. We also had fried green tomatoes and the pecan pie. The menu was our primary reason for choosing this location. Neither of us are huge on barbecue, but there’s plenty mouthwatering options outside of the BBQ realm. Service was friendly and attentive. The food did take a little bit of time to arrive, but once it did, we both were happy. It has been a long week and we really just needed a relaxing spot with good food where we could talk, laugh and focus on each other. All boxes checked.

My friend had the brisket and loved it.. cocktails were great too! We stopped in for a late lunch and definitely want to go back for dinner. Also loved the hushpuppies and potato salad. He was talking about going back for more before we hit the driveway on the way home ~
