- PPatriciaLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI was sent the Xmas menu to pick from, submitted our choices but on arrival we were told that was for Xmas day only. They apologised for the mix up gave us 2 bottles of Prosecco on the house and a discount on our meal. I thought this was very thoughtful and we appreciated the service we received nothing was too much trouble. As we only moved here last year and been here twice before it will deffinately be our local where eating out is concerned. - SSimonLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoHad a wonderful time at The Ivy Canterbury. We arrived early but were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy but not too noisy and the decor and ambience was excellent. Our waitress Millie, was very friendly and quick to attend to our needs. Food and drinks were bought to us in a timely manner and the food was excellent (the Ivy Snowman quite something although I'd recommend to share). Despite the place being busy and a clear demand for tables, at no point did we feel rushed and after we finished our meal and settled the bill, we moved to the bar to have a few more drinks at our leisure where once again the mixologists were chatty and friendly and able to make a multitude of cocktails of our choosing without having to check how to make them. The food and drink were on the pricier side but you get what you pay for and the bill was not unreasonable for what we received. As a Canterbury resident, I think I have a new favourite restaurant/bar.More infoThe Ivy, CanterburyPrice: Moderate• British• Canterbury•4.3

- DDavidNorfolk/Suffolk •6 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoIt’s been a while since we’ve had an Assembly House afternoon tea and had forgotten quite how good they are compared to others available. We were warmly greeted at restaurant reception and quickly shown to our table. After a suitable time gap our drinks request was taken by a friendly and efficient staff member, our pots of tea soon arriving. Our multi tiered tea stand then arrived with an explanation of all the delights thereon, with a request to just ask when we were ready for our scones and/or wanted our second pot of tea. Every tier was a delight as were the scones. Several other tables opted for the ‘doggie box’ but I’m afraid we scoffed the lot. We have a Norfolk Passport card so we’re entitled to a 10% discount. A lovely ‘afternoon out’, delightful food in a charming setting with very pleasant staff. Thank you.More infoThe Assembly HousePrice: Expensive• British• Norwich•4.6
