- MMargaretEdinburgh/Midlothian •11 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe were a party of three and all ordered differently. The food was delicious but a little more sauce/gravy would have been nice for all the mains. The red cabbage served with the game pie was too acidic. However, we all had a lovely time and will return.More info21Price: Expensive• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.8
- KKiraYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoAbsolutely outstanding meal, we went for the festive menu and had the cauliflower soup & pate and both were exceptional. Then we all went for the turkey dinner and wow, hands down the best Christmas dinner we have had, all the trimmings and turkey was to die for! Will 1000% be returning!More infoAmare PatisseriePrice: Expensive• British• Redcar and Cleveland•4.8
- HHerbertNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoA lovely warm welcome and a birthday card from the staff sitting on our table. The Christmas menu was varied and interesting but the standout plate for me had to be the herb crusted trout.Absolutely delicious and so beautifully orchestrated in terms of flavours, textures and presentation. On the down side the ice cream( cinnamon?) on my apple and almond crumble was very odd.Gluey and unpalatable with little to recommend it. More almond in the crumble would have been nice too. The fudge was “candy” like , sugary and grainy but I was still very impressed, as I usually am, with the experience that is Blackfriars.More infoBlackfriars RestaurantPrice: Expensive• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.6
