Specialising in Neapolitan style sourdough pizza from Chef Alessandro Parisi, the cocktail menu has been created by our head bartender, Mattia Cavola. The drinks he has created are variations on the classics that you may recognise but have been given a LOCKES twist. We have introduced some interesting new processes and some amazing new products; we are excited to see what you think. The staff and service at the Black Penny are fantastic and the brunch menu is excellent with the food superb! The mushroom, spinach and polenta hash with a poached egg was brilliant. A super mix of mushrooms and a corned chicken egg with it's beautiful yolk. Altogether delicious. The meaty full breakfast similarly excellent on good sourdough toast and the black penny beans are delicious. There is loads more to explore on the menu - we hope to be back.

Nice place with an incredible bar and cocktail menu. The service is warm and concerned. The atmosphere is suitable for small tables. The cocktails ans whiskies menu is very interesting and plenty. Now, depending on the area you are the chitchating of others may become a noise. Be aware. Two things to improve, from my modest point of view: some tables need better light to be able to reed the menu proerly and please reduce the amount of ice on the cocktails: makes difficult to drink.

Pleasantly surprised. This was a wine bar with pizzas rather than a pizza restaurant with wine. Great ambience. Muted dark blue colour scheme. Very relaxing. Friendly staff. Tasty fresh pizzas. Great place to meet friends. Even though in Covent Garden, not horribly overcrowded. Don't order drinks from your seats though, as you'll get a service charge. Would go again.
