Best Contemporary American Restaurants in South Elgin

We ere enjoying family from out of town. My father in-law order a dish he did not like and not only did the restaurant replace it with a dish of another choice they did not charge him for his main dish. The food / service especially with the owner was outstanding. One of our favorite restaurants and will continue to go back again. Thank you

Region never disappoints. A restaurant’s vibe is the most important thing to me, then food and then service, but Region hits it home on all. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant and fun at the same time. Starting with cocktails, the martini and old fashioned were perfect. Soups (baked French onion and corn chowder) were delicious and the sea bass I had as my main was, honestly, one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Our server, Joanna or Johanna, was knowledgeable, helpful and delightful. These are the reasons Region is at the top of our list!

From the rotating food and drink menu, there is always something new to try. Service is always wonderful (we’ve been here a dozen times). This is our go to spot for a great time and the place we always recommend to friends and family

If you are looking for an elevated dining experience that includes exceptional, high quality dishes paired with wonderful service in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for you. I can’t recommend Atwater’s enough….you must try it!

Fantastic experience our first time here. Went for our anniversary. Service was impeccable. She really knew the dishes and helped us make decisions. Food was outstanding.
