Best Contemporary American Restaurants in South Indy

A really fantastic experience. First time going. Server was great- her food recs were on point 👌🏼, food was absolutely incredible, and service was quick. We did apps, meals, and dessert, cocktails of course, and were wrapped up in less than an hour and a half. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Had never been to Oakmont before. We had just seen a show, it was late and we found Oakmont on the app. Not very many options at 9:45 on a Sunday night. The menu looked promising. The drinks were fun and delicious. They had several Christmas cocktails available. The cauliflower puree was very good. The French fries were cooked perfectly. Everyone at the table was eating the French fries from the plate of the person that ordered them. They were ordered without the truffle sauce. The salmon entree was delicious and cooked well. All of us were pleased and satisfied with our entrees. From the yummy pickle slices served with the chicken sandwich,the tajin on the chicken quesadilia, or the "something spicy" in the budda bowl, it all worked and made us very hungry eaters happy and satisfied.

The aesthetics were very nice, the food was amazing and our waitress Raizel was outstanding. I had the Pancake Tacos and my daughter had the Brie Stuffed French Toast. The pancake was amazing and fluffy, not dense and heavy. It was filled with egg, crumbled sausage, bacon and a little cheese…delicious! My daughter had the Brie Stuffed French Toast with Berries which was a nice mixture of sweet with savory of the Brie! Also quite delicious! Our waitress was friendly and professional, she was attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely be going back and asking specifically for Raizel!
