Best Contemporary British Restaurants in Lancing

We had a really nice evening. Everything was as expected, service, food, ambiance all excellent

We had to wait to be seated as we were told that our table was ready but then advised it was given to someone else and it would be a couple of minutes. That was not true and we had to enquire if the table was then ready, to which we were seated immediately. Although we were having the set Christmas menu we were also not offered a drinks menu, we had to pull this up via our phones. The server we finally had was nice, but we had to ask to do the Cluedo activity but he was attentive when serving the food. Normally it’s been really great here but the seating and no drinks menu was not the best experience.

The Ivy has a lovely atmosphere with helpful staff. We were unfortunate enough to sit next to a team out on their Christmas work-do. They were very loud, they had no inhibitions, nor awareness, nor consideration for other diners.

Fabulous pre concert meal. Cheese and walnut souffle was delicious, as was the fish and chips for the main course. Service was excellent

Absolutely stunning venue and gorgeous afternoon tea. The team at Amberley Castle were exceptional- welcoming and attentive, and the service couldn't have been better. We'll definitely be back in 2025. Thank you!
