Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in The Annex

This is our favourite restaurant for a reason! Everyone needs to try it at least once. Everything on the menu that we have had the past few times we have been there has been amazing and have never been disappointed. The Agnolotti Doppio is the best pasta we have ever had and is the perfect combination of fresh and rich. We love it and will absolutely be coming back to Bar Prima.

The food was delicious, and everything was very detailed. I have lactose intolerance, and they were very accommodating, ensuring I had great options to enjoy. The service was excellent. Dave (our server) was amazing. Even when his hands were full, another server would step in almost as if it was orchestrated. The feed was phenomenal. My wife and I would highly recommend the zucchini appetizer and the octopus appetizer! This place will not disappoint - and it's a quick 1-2 blocks from major hotels and theaters. We're already scheduling our next visit!

I spent a long time deciding where to celebrate my milestone birthday, and I’m so glad I chose this restaurant! They gifted us appetizers and dessert, which was a delightful surprise. We had also pre-ordered a cheese platter, which was beautifully presented. Each of my invited friends chose their own dishes from the menu, and everyone was absolutely thrilled by the incredible flavors and the exquisite presentation of the food. The sommelier recommended delicious wines to complement our meal after the champagne, enhancing the entire experience. Our waitress, Marilu, was incredibly pleasant and attentive throughout the evening. I'm so glad she was responsible for our table, as her excellent service made the experience even more special. Our waiter described every dish with great detail and even gave us a tour of the restaurant at the end. I will never forget this unforgettable day at this remarkable restaurant!

The food, drinks and service were all excellent. Our server was attentive and pleasant. This was our first visit. It was so good we hope to return soon.
