Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). This place was suggested by a friend and it did not disappoint. From the lobby, to the waiting area to the table. We were lucky enough to be seated at a window. All of the food at the afternoon tea was exceptional. Our waiter Diego did an excellent job of recommending champagne and tea. The price was well worth the money, 10/10 recommend.
