Thoughtful garnishes as dishes served with different greens. Fun to see skill of chef managing frying pans cooking food in open-to-dining room wood burning oven. Lovely service, leaving bottle of water and also refilling. Let us relax and catch-up. Maybe slightly pricey for portion size but I’d rather have less of food well done than leftovers. Also $25pp no-show charge a bit daunting as stuff happens even with best intentions - maybe should only be enforced during peak times (Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc)More infoThe Whale WinsPrice: Expensive• American• Wallingford•4.6
- CClareSeattle / Eastern Washington •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoMy family and I had a fantastic experience at Ada's. This was my first visit and I will absolutely be returning. My initial draw was the Beef Manti, which was a dish I loved when traveling in Turkey years and years ago. We enjoyed the muhammara, Greek fries, the Turkish Shephard's Choban salad, the beef manti (as delicious as I hoped!), eggplant stuffed with ground beef, and a more Italian style dish of chicken in a mushroom cream sauce. We also tried 3 desserts: the baklava, the rice pudding, and the poached pear. All were fantastic and presented a great variety of textures and flavors to share among a group. The ambience was warm and cozy for a cold fall evening and it wasn't overly loud in the restaurant (some background music at a reasonable volume). Tips/Notes: I thought the portions were enormous. 2 of us could've split one order of the Beef Manti. The salad was plenty to share. Every single person in our group had about 50% of their meal to take home. You'll enjoy the value if you have a big appetite, but otherwise would recommend starting with a few dishes to share and adding more as you go. We were seated at a high top table which I was initially worried about because they can be really uncomfortable. Thankfully the chairs / available foot rests made the seating quite comfortable, but I recommend you request a regular table as needed based on your party's physical needs/comfort.More infoAda's Restaurant & BarPrice: Expensive• Turkish• Phinney Ridge•4.9
- BBrianvipSeattle / Eastern Washington •71 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoCame here last night to help Nell's celebrate their 25th Anniversary. Quite a testament to Chef and Owner Phil and his GM Skye to have managed to pull this off in such a brutal industry. The food is always fantastic, the service impeccable and the atmosphere so quiet, peaceful and romantic. We come here for almost every one of our special occasions. It's nice to see other regulars and especially nice to see younger couples giving this terrific spot a try. Try it once and you will be hooked.More infoNell'sPrice: Expensive• Regional American (Northwest)• Green Lake•4.9
- SShawnSeattle / Eastern Washington •2 reviews5.0Dined on 13 Nov 2024I am a fan of Over The Moon so a friend joined me last night for her first time. As usual, all the seating was filled -- on a Tuesday night! but the service was timely and attentive without being annoying. When we first arrived at 4:45 the music was louder than I remembered .... but turned down to an accommodating level for conversation. I personally avoid most restaurants because I find having to raise my voice to have a conversation is not relaxing. My friend tried my favorite, lasagna, and found it unique (no pasta) and soooo good. My friend was surprised when four friends arrive later to celebrate a birthday -- we are all from Gig Harbor. No view, no gimmicks ..... just a comfortable setting for a better than usual dining experience.More infoOver The Moon CafePrice: Expensive• American• Tacoma•4.9
