The food was incredible. I I had the burger and I could not stop eating it. The fries were the best. We went for brunch and we had options for lunch too. One of my top two brunch spots in Chicago. Fantastic tomato basil soup. Incredible avocado eggs Benedict with amazing hollandaise on a bed of arugula and a mouth watering key lime pie. I’m an aficionado of all 3 dishes and these guys knock it out of the park. The atmosphere is shabby barn chic and completely adorable. The staff is attentive. 5 out of 5 stars every time.

My mom and I had a great night out at the Dawson! Loved that the festive lights were still up. The chicken fried lobster and sourdough toast started us off on a delicious note, followed by the cavatelli and the roast pork chop. Those cheesy grits tho! Can’t wait to return again.

We were here for a birthday dinner and had a lovely time. The service was excellent with a server who had humor and was attentive. The menu is very interesting offering a wode variety of choices and take on trditional dishes like the Garrsoulet I had, a take off of Cassoulet of course. The Lardo and Tomato toast appetizer was delicous and everyones meal was excellent. The prices are on the high side but we were satisfied. I also reccomment the steak tartare and the burger. The atmosphere is elegant but casual and lovely.
