Best French Restaurants in Edgehill

Four of us had dinner last night. A solid double to the fence. I had the chicken Milanese, which was carefully prepared, but maybe presented on a root mash in November (and not asparagus). Squash fritters were lovely, room-temp corn pudding, less so. Desserts disappeared around the table. Service was generous and warm. In all, a long-time Nashville great that might benefit from a kitchen approach refresh.

We had a fabulous evening beginning with the brie fondue and cocktails. Every dish was delicious and exceptional: spinach & warm bacon salad, French onion soup, boeuf bourguignon, blackberry salmon, and an evening special Filet Oscar. We ended the meal with Bananas Foster. The service was excellent: attentive but no hovering. We were there to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed! This was our first visit and we look forward to returning.

James was a great host - the food was excellent and the personal service with being able to try (and buy) the Farmstead wines was a huge surprise. These wines are on par with central coast California wines, no sweet fruit wines here. The wine prices were also excellent for such quality wines. This is a must do if you're in town - just plan on sitting down and enjoying the evening.

This is one of our favorite places to go to. We have been there with friends who have never been to France and we assure them just how authentic it feels. I would highly recommend Once Upon a Time in France to anyone wanting to experience great French cuisine with a staff that is friendly, informative, and appreciative.

Food was amazing. Chicken curry and shrimp cabanara was excellent. Service was a little slow but only because they were short-staffed. Waitress was great
