Best French Restaurants in Santa Clara

Second visit to the Plumed Horse and we were impressed. The 8 course tasting service was phenomenal! Small dishes with sweet and savory flavors that danced around in our mouths. Excellent service from all the staff and such culinary talent from the chef. We were celebrating a belated Valentines Day and judging by the full dining room, a lot of couples had the same idea. We look forward to another fantastic dining experience at the Plumed Horse.

Such a unique experience. From the decor to the menu. We keep it simple - salad, cheese fondue and of course, a dark chocolate extravaganza for desert. Service is efficient and friendly. I know people think of La Fondue as a special occasion place, but it really shouldn't be.

These guys at La Fontaine are great. They always deliver on service and quality, especially service. If I ever eat at other “fancy type” places, a thought always crosses my mind that I could be getting more and better flavor for less money and treated better at La Fontaine. Cocktails are great too.

We are a bit biased, we love Left Bank. We've had lovely meals here, with family from out of town, just the two of us on an anniversary or in this case, on Valentine's Day. We were there for lunch and the food tastes great. The only thing that was maybe a bit disappointing was that there wasn't any Valentine's Day decor. I would have expected a bit more ambiance for the occasion. I was pleased with myself that I reserved for lunch, to avoid the large crowd at dinner. It felt less rushed. The waiter was able to answer questions about the menu. I was also a bit surprised that there were no special Valentine's Day additions to the menu.

Great food and service. Loved cauliflower soup and pork chops.
