We ate here as a family of 6 on a Wednesday evening so knew it would be fairly quiet this time of year and just after valentines night but it didn't spoil our experience Table was beautifully laid with a lit candle too. Menu was interesting and plentiful food served with a lot of care. We all enjoyed our meals. It was served in a friendly efficient manner. Certainly one we will return to.

Came here for a 10th anniversary meal after recommendations and was very glad we did .Me and my partner both had fish and it was absolutely delicious on both parts . We didnt have a starter and I'm glad we didnt as the portions are generous so we had dessert instead. Great food, good venue and friendly service highly recommended and we will be going again.

We’d both been keen to revisit to have another steak as the last time we went the steaks were the best we’d ever had! Let down this time and unfortunately half my chips were burnt. But I did point it out to our server who dealt with it quickly and kindly. The kitchen then sent out a massive portion of replacement chips that we couldn’t finish off! Still a lovely evening

The Lodge is our “local” and since its revamp it is our first choice when eating out with friends and family. We are always made to feel welcome, staff are friendly, and service, no matter how busy, is mostly pretty good. The Menu choice is excellent-we’ve eaten some pretty special, new to us, dishes. If we have negative is that portions are too generous no matter which menu we choose from, and that includes the Children’s Menu! A big Thank-you to all at the Lodge.
