It had been over 10 years since we’ve been here & choose this for our friend who has never been in NYC. We arrived early & sat at the bar with great cocktails taking in the holiday cheer & bustle of the staff as they take from the fresh stock of Mediterranean fish chosen by their customers. We had the tomato salad & calamari to start. Not a huge fan of calamari but this was perfect. Lavraki, our main meal, was intensely flavorful with some grilled mixed vegetables. His recommended dish (halibut) I accepted on faith and it was outstanding. His frequent visits to the table to check on us were both comforting and appreciated for water.
