Sai serves authentic Punjabi cuisine with tandoor cooking a speciality. The spice range is broad, from minimal to high levels and vegetables forming the backbone of the menu. Wheat is the staple food of Punjabis; however, they do enjoy eating rice at festivals and other special occasions. When it comes to food, each region within Punjab has an entirely different preference, for example, people in Amritsar are particularly fond of stuffed parathas and milk products. The philosophy of life for many Punjabis is to eat, drink and make merry. They are lively people who are extremely fond of eating good food. In the preparation of Punjabi food, onion, ginger and garlic are used extensively to enhance the taste of the food.**NEW***SUNDAY BRUNCH 11am to 3pm, try Indian street food from different part of India with unlimited KADAK CHAI.****LUNCH****Now open for lunch Tuesday-Saturday 12-3pm. I had the vegan dishes whilst my husband ate dairy and meat dishes. Both of us found the food tasty, well seasoned and flavoured. The momo was great with its sauce, mixed vegetable curry, daal and okra were all delicious. Also, the rogan josh. Lovely to try Napalese food as well as other favorites.

We went for an early dinner to celebrate birthday and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made us feel instantly welcome. Their attentiveness and genuine hospitality truly set the tone for the evening. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was a perfect blend of flavors and beautifully presented. You can tell the chefs take pride in their craft. Whether you're a fan of classic favorites or adventurous new dishes, the menu has something to delight every palate. The cocktails were exceptional, crafted to perfection by the talented bartenders. I’d highly recommend trying the Old Fashioned or Margarita. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion, a casual night out, or just treating yourself to something wonderful. We’ll definitely be back!

Booked for dinner and had a very enjoyable experience. The curries were very flavoursome and had a good spice to them. These were complemented with delicious Onion Bhaji and Vege Samosas as starters. Additionally, the service was very attentive as the waiters welcomed us and ensured that dishes were cleared after we had finished. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone in Balham.
