Best Italian Restaurants in Seymour

The experience at Gioia is always a great one, especially since they have their own parking lot in the very busy Wooster Square area. My friends and I ordered the Salumi and Cheese platter, beets, cauliflower, and meatball appetizers. We decided to split two desserts: the sticky toffee pudding and the almond torta. The best bites of the night were the anchovy yogurt sauce with the cauliflower and the sticky toffee pudding (it’s SO good). The mocktails are also special, DELICIOUS, and a very good surprise feature on a large drink menu.

Great first time dinner at il Palio and it was perfect! Beautiful restaurant, professional staff and delicious food! We had a salad, calamari and 2 pasta dishes. We were too stuffed to even look at the dessert menu! The bread was incredible too. Once I saw who the chef was I knew exactly why it was so good! I knew her restaurant and reputation in New Canaan! I’ll be back to il Palio for sure… can’t wait!!!

We had three classic Italian dishes all prepared well with fresh ingredients. The portions were very big we have lunch for tomorrow. For a snowy night the restaurant and bar were full.

The server we had was absolutely amazing. I do not know how name but I recall he was bald. He made the entire experience for my brother and I amazing. Thank you so much! Everything was super clean including bathrooms. Loved my lasagna and meatballs. The tres leches cake good. Thank you! Overall great experience. Parking we found in a paid garage not too far from the restaurant but there is also paid parking across the street I believe.

Awesome first time at Mercato in Shelton! Hallie C. was great and very hospitable to us for our Valentines lunch. Great ambiance with the right tone of music. Will definitely be returning soon.
