I didn’t think they could up their game but I had steak with a whiskey cream sauce and it truly was the best meal I can recall. I had the squash ravioli to start then the halibut in the the richest/ lightest/ most heavenly artichoke lemony caper broth… i will Not forget this dinner or the adorable ambiance downstairs. The bolognese was also a hit with my husband and daughter. Can’t wait to go back and maybe try the upstairs' next time. The ambience is perfect, a dining room in an old mansion, the food is outstanding, and the service is first rate. I would say it is one of the best, if not the best, overall dining experience for a romantic evening in Portland. There are other places that might be more recognized for their culinary offerings, but so many of them are loud with high ceilings, open kitchens, and awkward seating. The chef (from Genova) makes the most of the local fresh seafood.
