Warm, welcoming, decor spot on w/o an ounce of pretension and just an overall lovely vibe. The interior layout of rooms remain as initially conceived by the original architect, that conspire to make it feel as if you were in someone's well-maintained home/mansion. The service (Santiago!) was great w/o being intrusive and complimented the overall feel and ambiance. We had three different entrees, each of which were v good. We had two appetizers, octopus with fave beans and capers and crab balls with caviar and sauce - both yummy; so glad we ordered them. My husband had the chicken Parmesan with pasta and I had the Italian burger..... we were bit contented. We were celebrating my honey's birthday. When I made the reservations on-line, I let them know it was his birthday. It was very special because when we were seated, the host wished him a happy birthday then our server came after and wished him a happy birthday as well. My husband was soooo surprised. As another surprise, they brought a cappuccino cup with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream with a lit candle and wished him a happy birthday. WOW; they went above and beyond. The ice cream was so creamy and actually the best vanilla bean ice cream I have ever tasted. Before we exited, my husband was so thankful, he went to shake our server's hand to thank him.
