It was a lively afternoon in the restaurant with one quite loud diner near us, but we could converse comfortably. Our waitress was lovely and gave me good direction on menu choices. Other staff who attended our table were equally gracious. We had noted before that staff at Stock strike a pleasing balance of being warmly engaging yet professional. The food was good and service was well timed from start to finish. We sat downstairs in the cellar which was very cozy and intimate and we could easily talk and listen. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. Three of us had pasta (different types) and all loved them. One, had the steak and said it was the best he has ever had.
