Best Japanese Restaurants in Old San Juan

Good! I love the outside terrace. We ate at the restaurant indoor. Good service and love the "chicharrones de Pulpo".

Truly Nikkei experience with outstanding quality of ingredients and food items. Flavors were mild and true to what was ordered. Highly recommend

🇬🇧 Mutuo has a very varied menu that allows you to taste delicious Nikkei food from their appetizers to their desserts. We ate two styles of ceviche (Classic and Coco Paltiado) with Wonton chips. In addition to Lomito Saltado, Sushi Sumba Roll and to close the dessert was Chocolate and Maracuyá Lava Cake. The food was exquisite, the ingredients felt fresh and the mix of flavors was delicious. Lastly, the service by all the staff was excellent, however, I highlight the kindness of Hiramilette, this was my waitress, and in addition to explaining the smallest detail of each dish that interested us, she made us feel very comfortable throughout the experience. Comimos dos estilos de ceviche (Clásico y Coco Paltiado) con Wonton chips. Además de Lomito Saltado, Sushi Sumba Roll y para cerrar el postre fue Chocolate and Maracuyá Lava Cake. La comida estuvo exquisita, los ingredientes se sintieron frescos y la mezcla de sabores fue deliciosa. Por último, el servicio por parte de todo el personal fue excelente, sin embargo, destaco la amabilidad de Hiramilette, esta fue mi mesera, y además de explicarnos el más mínimo detalle de cada plato que nos interesaba nos hizo sentir muy cómodos a través de la experiencia. Espero volver muy pronto.

Note the restaurant does not allow allow under 18 after 4 pm. Should have been noted and thanks to Xmas day, an exception was made for our late teens.

I’ve tried the rest, and this is by far the best and only authentic sushi and sashimi available anywhere in San Juan. You can taste the freshness in every bite. Sushi moriawase had Japanese conger eel, snow crab, scallops from Hokkaido, king salmon, Japanese sea bass, bluefin tuna, and more. The chef was very generous with bonuses as well. The service was exceptional.
