- JJosephVIPChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoCame for a birthday dinner with my wife and enjoyed this experience above all others. We ordered the crispy chicken dumplings, truffle salmon, and wagyu beef hot stone to start. All were great. We decided against the chef’s combination since we wanted to pick our rolls and get more pieces for the same price. Everything was fresh and tasted incredible. Fruit toban yaki for desert was delicious and the perfect way to end the evening. We enjoyed the dinner and the excellent service provided by Edgardo who was fantastic.More infoMakoto Vail, Modern Japanese CuisinePrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Vail•4.7
- KKathleenDenver / Colorado •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAlways an enjoyable dining experience at Sakaba. The Wagyu beef is always one of our favorites, as is the Lobster tail and warm rice. The staff is always attentive to our needs, with great courtesy and professionalism. As locals this is one of our favorite places to dine and have never been disappointed.More infoSakabaPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Beaver Creek•4.6
- AAmandaSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThis is our favorite Japanese restaurant in the world. Highly recommend all of these items. It is a perfect balance of cold and warm and the progression is great. Yellowtail jalapeño Oysters Nobu salsa Cucumber Sunomono salad Miso soup Black cod lettuce cups Octopus, King Crab and Yellowtail nigiri sushi Grilled cauliflower with jalapeño Miyazaki Wagyu beef Tuesday we just walked in and sat at the bar. You need to start lining up if you walk in at 4:30 and you either get last minute cancelled tables, bar, or sushi bar. Otherwise you have to wait for the second turn. For reservations on Christmas we were thankfully in Paris so the timezone was manageable, because reservations open up at midnight of the timezone the restaurant is in. Likely to sell out quickly on the weekends or peak season. Hope this helps!More infoMatsuhisa VailPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Vail•4.8
