I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value. The restaurant was excellent. We had a lot of traffic on our way and called as we were going to be late for reservations. We were told not to worry and drive safe. The atmosphere and food were excellent and service as well. Can’t wait to go back and bring friends

It was not crowed for a Saturday night. We sat at the bar. The bartender was very attentive. The food came out fast. The corn rice ball were good. Definitely needed the sauce. Not very moist. The 1/2 baked Chicken- presentation was nice. Plenty of Vegetables. Over all the chicken was over cooked and dry. At 10pm a DJ started. It got very loud and this particular DJ was ok. Each week is a different DJ, so you won’t know if you will like the music they spin or not. Another plus about this place is the kitchen is open. Till 11:30 on Saturdays. That hard to find in this area.

The experience was very nice. The food was excellent. I had chicken martini, while my wife had spaghetti with shrimp fra diavlo. Both were expertly prepared. We shared a tri-color salad, which was good but because we shared it, you would say its on the smaller side. No dessert. Wait staff was attentive. It was a Tuesday night and not very busy so we were well cared for. All-in-all, it was very pleasant.

Sarah is always terrific and in this particular visit, our waiter was exceptional. His recommended dish (halibut) I accepted on faith and it was outstanding. His frequent visits to the table to check on us were both comforting and appreciated for water. Refills and other intermediate needs. This restaurant has family atmosphere vibes, great food, and noise level all conversation. Bravo to the team.
