Thomas Makris, from the Island of Skopelos, fell in love when he met Helen Babalos. They met at Orestes Greek restaurant in 1974, while on a Greek dancing tour of North America. Soon after their marriage, they had a vision to open a place like no other in Vancouver; a Greek restaurant where everyone is family; where everyone receives a consistent experience created by delicious homemade authentic food and impeccable service.     Could not recommend this place more highly. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Meatballs, Branzino, Lamb shoulder, spanakopita, avgolemono, lentil soup were all hits, no misses. Authentic flavors and technique that shone throughout the meal. Really enjoyed it and cannot wait to return to this gem. Thank you Chef Manos!

    Really enjoyed this visit. The wait staff are very nice and accommodating especially with all of the dietary issues we have. The food is good and I also really like the fact the the two times I've visited, there has been live music. So good to see and the musician amenity charge is very reasonable. Highly recommend!

    Great food quality and service. Definitely more of a casual place. The only issue I have is the wine seemed to be priced extremely high for the excellent value of the food. I had a cocktail instead which was excellent and priced appropriately.
