La Piscina was recommended by a colleague as one of the best places to get fajitas, which is saying a lot to someone from San Diego. Every single dish was amazing! The Red Snapper Aguachille (like ceviche but better) was so tasty we immediately ordered another! The lobster quesadilla was great, full of hearty lobster meat, not overly cheesy at all. The ribeye “aranchera” fajitas had some of the best flavor we’ve had. Our server Jorge (gorge? sp?) was incredibly helpful! I love when servers really guide you, invested in your experience not just the price of a dish! He steered us in and out of all the perfect dishes. Elevated chiles rellenos are roasted instead of battered and fried and contain high quality ingredients such as brisket or smoked chicken. Queso, beans (both refried and charro) and margaritas are of superior quality to all others we have tried locally.
