- JJennyChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThe Mission in Old Town Scottsdale delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The warm ambiance, expertly crafted dishes, and handcrafted cocktails made for a memorable meal. Every bite was packed with bold flavors, and the service was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We left completely satisfied and can’t wait to return!More infoThe Mission – Old Town ScottsdalePrice: Moderate• Latin American• Old Town Scottsdale•4.6
- JJodiPhoenix / Arizona •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoFrom the moment we walked in our experience was amazing! We felt welcomed, and seen by each and every employee. We had to get the queso and it was absolutely perfect! The pico and guac add such a nice, fresh touch to it. And let me tell you the short rib taco was the best taco I ever had. Juicy, flavorful, and so fresh! You can clearly tell they make all their food in house. Can’t wait to come back!More infoBlanco Cocina + Cantina – PeoriaPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Deer Valley•4.7
- EEdwardPhoenix / Arizona •32 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWow! We went for the fixed menu Valentines experience and we were treated to a beautiful, innovative, delicious meal. The dining was three courses with choice of two dishes per course. My wife and I decided to get all 6 dishes and share. We also opted for the wine pairing with Mexican wine. It was immediately obvious why the chef is a James Beard semi finalist. The first course included a shrimp roll with succulent poached shrimp and complimentary spices that made the rival any lobster roll (this from someone born in Maine). The other starter was a scallop ceviche. The scallops were sliced so thinly they were almost transparent. The Mexican ceviche was carefully crafted so that the chilies did not overpower the delicate scallops. The second course included a fried snapper with a white mole and a dish of head on shrimp over a creamy polenta. Our desert included a cheesecake topped with a guava jelly with shrimp dust. This gave the desert a wonderful savory flavor. The other was a chocolate cake paired with a goat milk caramel. One of the best cakes either of us have had. The wine pairing was fantastic. The wine selected from small private vineyards rivaled many of the California and Oregon wines we have enjoyed over the years. What a delightful surprise! This review would not be complete without mentioning the impeccable service from Marlie who guided us through the entire experience. The restaurant decor was not at the level you would expect from a restaurant with this level of cooking, but it is worth coming for the entire experienceMore infoChiltePrice: Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• West Phoenix•4.7
- LLisaToronto / Ontario •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoUpon arrival (in the light rain and wind) our initial experience was amazing, with valet service, a nicely covered and heated waiting area and entrance to dining was beautiful! We only waited minutes to be seated. Concerns were there.. knowing we had booked patio seating, however, we were seated very near an amazing fireplace, the ambiance was incredible, and we were acknowledged by our server immediately, with a wonderful note on our table wishing us an amazing anniversary! (Anni-Valentines) ! Our server Jenna Lee was kind, gracious, knowledgeable to the menu and most efficient! Our very picky friends who came with us (he has dementia) were blown away how patient she was in every part of our dining experience:) Especially with his lack of understanding the menu, she made it so simple! Our "suggested" appetizers and entrees were incredible, and the live plants were gorgeous! As we were leaving, a nearby table commented on how much fun we were having and wished up Happy Anniversary, as our server had mentioned to them we were celebrating on Valentines Day, and they commented what a great server she was! Another table saw my plate being served of the sea bass and wanted to know what it was! It was gorgeous!! Loved the added touch of runners (most professional) bringing our our meals:) Thank you again for making our special night even more special, we will be back, and share our experience with others! #17 years Lisa & Jeff Glendale AZMore infoBlanco Cocina + Cantina - Paradise ValleyPrice: Expensive• Mexican• Paradise Valley•4.7
