Best Modern European Restaurants in South Los Angeles

What a beautiful ambience, the music the decor!! Simply a beautiful restaurant!! We ordered the Calamari as an opener and it was delicious, perfectly cooked and salted! My Husband ordered the Salmon with Asparagus, the birthday boy ordered Lasagna and the rest of us ordered the short rib braised pasta and all in all the food way delicious, light but filling! I didn’t catch her name but she was wearing the Chef jacket and she was such a joy, very kind and really made our experience at N10 amazing!

Not sure how I missed chef Mairinger having a restaurant opened up again since January. I loved his “Bierbeisl” restaurant back in the day. “Lustig” was absolutely fabulous! We started with the “Bigeye Tuna Canoli”, and we had a veal “Wiener Schnitzel” and a Sausage Sampler as mains. Absolutely excellent food. We finished with the “Strudel Cigars” and added a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream to it. Icing on the cake. Service was also top notch, and Chef Mairinger came out at the end to ask for our opinion. While it is on the pricier side, it is worth every penny, and we definitely will be back! Glad to see he’s back on the map, so to speak!

The staff was beyond incredible—gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. They went above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable, even packing up my favorite emulsion to savor at home (and trust me, it was just as delicious the next day!). Great food, tea and ambience! My sister and I very much enjoyed our tea time! It’s was a nice little getaway away from all the hustle and bustle of LA life. Located conveniently in the city, there was plenty of parking. We loved it and will be back soon.

We made reservations through Open Table months ago and never received notice that they are not yet open. All dressed up and got there to a construction zone. We called and never received a call back. We messaged them through Insta and never received a reply. Things happen, openings are delayed, but a phone call would have been appreciated. I received multiple reminders of my reservation, they HAVE to have some sort of communication with Open Table, but no one bothered to get in touch with us so we could make other plans. Happy Anniversary to us! 😒 ****We received a lovely note from the ownership and will be dining with them upon opening. At that time, we’ll let you know how it was. The note alone was reason to update our review.****
