Best Pubs in Honiton

What a wonderful pub with excellent dining experience- loads of choice and fabulous quality food served by extremely lovely friendly staff who also took lengths to make our dog welcome! We shall definitely be back!

Such a lovely pub, warm welcoming atmosphere and great location for a family meal, additionally atmospheric in the festive season. The young staff were great and the food was delicious, were happy too, to provide something off menu for a fussy family member . Good location on edge of Sidford. Plenty of parking (and also some nice nearby riverside walks , if there in the daytime!) Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hope to revisit again soon.

Fantastic food and very friendly, helpful staff. Pub was very quiet. Last year they were closed over winter but decided to stay open this year at the locals request. Sadly the locals don’t seem to go in on a regular basis. I would strongly recommend the food was delicious in a lovely cosy atmosphere.

Excellent lunch today. We all had the special Venison. It was tasty and good value for money. If anything it was a bit too big ! Which meant we couldn’t fit dessert in !

Visited the Balfour on Sunday with my wife and with my sister. We each opted for a starter, Sunday roast and a pudding and all three courses were absolutely outstanding. Never been here before but absolutely will come back again. Best roast I have had for years. Decent price, and really good, friendly atmosphere.
