Best Seafood Restaurants in Near Southside

My wife and I dined at Eddie V’s this past Friday night, Jan. 3rd for the first time. We arrived 15 mins early of our reservation and were sat immediately. Marcus was our server and from the start he made us feel welcomed, providing pleasant conversation with a smile. The food, overall, was terrific with two cons I will detail later. We started with Calamari and my wife ordered a 24 karat cocktail. Our entrees were a Chilean Sea Bass and a 10 ounce Beef Filet. Our sides were creamy mashed potatoes, scallops and Brussel sprouts. We did not have desert. Pros: The Calamari was very fresh and flavorful with a hint of spice, enhanced by the sweet Asian dipping sauce. The Chilean Sea Bass was mouth watering good, very buttery and the soy broth was spot on. The sides were large portions and very tasty, especially the scallops and the mashed potatoes. The filet was seasoned well with a great crust and it tasted wonderful. Cons: The filet was ordered mid rare and it came out more rare. My wife did not want to send it back so she ate around the center. 1 more minute on the fire and it would have been perfect. The desert menu was standard fare with no cheesecake, nothing to right home about. The cons were minor and the pros outweigh the cons. We really enjoyed our first visit and we look forward to returning. We will ask for Marcus again.

We were seated in a very comfortable booth. It was close to the front door so I thought it might be noisy but it was fine. There was live music from the bar that was pleasant and perfect volume. Our server Cody was very friendly and extremely helpful with dietary restrictions and customization. We had cocktails and appetizers before ordering our entree and we were never rushed. My steak and my wife's branzino were fantastic. We had a wonderful time with great food and service.

Samantha was great! We ate in the bar. Great place for Happy hour or a high end night out. Valet service right out the door. Oysters were the freshest we’ve had in Fort Worth. Trust me, we’ve tried them everywhere Ft. Worth. The 8 oz filet competes with anyone downtown. The sides are wonderful. Water’s is great for steaks and the freshest seafood. This is a staple for us.

Perfect dinner atmosphere. The food and the selection of food was wonderful. Cooked to perfection. We had an amazing waiter. Can't recommend it enough.
