Best Southern American Restaurants in Morningside-Lenox Park

Visitors from Maine, skipped the fried chicken this time which is always a treat. BBQ shrimp and cauliflower apps were terrific and ventured into seafood with corvina and trout. We eat lots of fish and these two dishes were outstanding! Perfectly cooked and spiced, delicious! Nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and a very charming waitress. Look forward to coming back….

Greeted in a pleasant and friendly way. I was seated quickly, and my full party was not all present. I was informed of a 2 hour table limit and was given the option to wait for my party to allow the full allotted time. My server was sweet and attentive without being annoying at all. The food was delicious, and even the presentation was beautiful. Parking was available adjacent to the restaurant. We were given a ticket for validation, but this did not work upon exiting the deck. Small, cozy and friendly. I would definitely go back.

Perfect location for a business luncheon. The menu was very easy to select a variety of choices. Staff was attentive and professional. The service was amazing she made recommendations.

New favorite restaurant in Atlanta. My waiter was superb. There were four items I would have loved and asked him which one I should go with. He recommended the third cheapest one and said I would not need any $$ sides. And he was right. Grouper was delicious and enough food in total. Wow! I’d be back again tonight but there are no open tables. Make reservations in advance!!

I’m glad I was able to get lunch before they close for renovations. Southern Gentleman always gives me and my guests a great experience and the food is always top tier.
