Best Southern American Restaurants in West Gate

Food and service was great! I really ganche at the end too! Ambiance was cool. I’ll definitely be back at a later date!

My friends and I had a really nice time here. The music was amazing! The service by our waitress Ayanna was superb. The food was hit or miss unfortunately. The catfish nuggets were really good as well as the fried okra but I had the chicken fried chicken and it was really fatty. Several of my friends had the mac and cheese and no one finished and said that you start. It could have been a lot better. Only one of the six of us loved her meal and she had the pecan chicken and waffles which I tasted and it was delicious! The drinks were really good as well. In all, the vibe was great but the food could've been better

Succotash has become my new favorite restaurant. The food is outstanding..hats off to the chef!!

Great service! Not crazy about the deviled eggs but the salmon cakes and Brussels were great.

Lovely old tavern. Really great food and good service. Only issue is price, which was quite high, even by DC standards. We love to dine out and we have been to many of the areas best restaurants over the years. This ranks right up there with the best in terms of food quality, but the prices are out of line. They strike me as exclusionary rather than production related. Nonetheless, if you want a excellent meal in nostalgic" old money" surroundings, this is your place.
