Best Southern German Restaurants in Münchener Freiheit

Place is good, food too. Service could be slower; looksike they are in a hurry. The waiter took my drink without asking me if I was done, just because my main course was served. What if I prefer to have my drink after, with the desert?

The conditions on booking are outrageous, 20€ in case of no show per person is simply unacceptable, considering we had 2 kids. Now, obviously, I did show up. But 1. It took me ages to book, and I had to change two credit cards. 2. We had two kids with us, and basically, with consumption, we paid almost 40€ more. Now the question is... with no food and service to pay. Is 10€ per person with a minimum of 50€ in case of no show, already enough? With a menu' which honestly it has not much to offer, although everything we had was good, and the service was great, it left me with a bitter feeling. And I believe it is my last time at the restaurant.

The food was great, the place was nice. We got steaks and their quality was really nice. The service was…nice but forgetful? We needed to wait much longer for our food than people who came after us and ordered after us. We ordered items that were never delivered. The issue is also partly with us, since we didn’t want to be mean to the servers. However it feels like maybe there is some systematic issue with table distributions? Because our server(s) seemed to do their best. Overall quite confusing, but worth it for great food and drinks ☺️

Great meal. First dinner in Germany. Schnitzel was great as was the käsespätzle! Great local wine list and of course beer. Service was friendly and attentive. Would recommend it to anybody staying in Munich. Very close to several hotels and the main train station.
