- SSharonHouston •22 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoIt was my daughter's birthday. She lived in Spain for a few years and was anxious to try this restaurant. And it did not disappoint! First of all it is an absolutely beautiful space and if you get the opportunity, have one of the staff explain all the art etc. One of the people in our party is vegan and the server, David, was just wonderful explaining to her how they could accomodate her. We tried 5 of the appetizers: Ultimate croqueta, Artichoke hearts (table favorite), ginger roll (beautiful presentation - yummy but a tad on the spicy side), Potatoes (don't remember what they are called but delicious!), Ultimate croqueta, and the incredible tomato appetizer. It is a work of art and definitely worth getting. A true gastro experience and what a delightful treat! OK on to our dinners. Daughter had the Grilled Pulpo (octopus) and said it was just like she remembered in Spain. We all took bites and it was wonderful. Vegan had a paella which was scrumptious and also beautifully plated. Sister and I shared the lamb chops - more than enoughfor two. They were perfectly cooked and luscious. The highlight though had to be the dessert. It is called Huevos Voladores and is out of this world. Was voted Best Dessert in Houston and I'd go back just for it!! Absolutely heavenly meal. And thanks again to David who was extremely helpful. And to Luis, the chef, who came to our table and spoke to us for a few minutes. Marvelous people and restaurant!More infoMADPrice: Expensive• Spanish• River Oaks•4.6

The scallop was great, the veal with the espresso rub was great as well. Also loved the beignets! And the Portuguese wine pairings were delicious as well. Loved pairing of two wines with shrimp starter, red and white! Eric did a great job with wine parings. Kitty is a great chef. So fun to eat her food for the wine dinners, we look forward to our next wine dinner.More infoCosta Brava BistroPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Bellaire•4.9
