Lexi was our server and she was amazing, super nice and we have the same name so 1000 aura points. She was very attentive, knew the menu well and gave great suggestions (stuffed jumbo shrimp). The food was perfect, overall 10/10 experience. Very blessed I had the chance to dine here for Valentines weekend.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff. You truly made my fiancée and I’s night unforgettable. The romantic ambiance was incredibly warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a special evening. Although I can’t recall the names of my server and the hostess—who I believe was the lovely blonde lady in the rose shirt—I want you to know how much their efforts meant to us. I was so touched when she reached out earlier in the week to confirm our reservation and to inquire about how I planned to surprise my fiancée with the earrings. Knowing how anxious I was about the entire plan, it meant the world to have such thoughtful support from the team. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that our night was memorable, and it absolutely was! Our server was fantastic as well. He really knew the menu inside and out, providing wonderful suggestions to help us navigate our first experience at the restaurant. We are already looking forward to making another reservation because this place has quickly become our favorite, even surpassing Hyde Park downtown in our eyes. Dined here on Valentine’s Day. As expected, Texas de Brazil was hopping with celebratory holiday diners. Overall, our dining experience was outstanding, for it was our first time visiting. From the well-stocked salad bar to the variety of meat offerings all were delightful! Our server/attendant, Marcus, was personable and engaging. Texas de Brazil will be a place that I will visit to celebrate special occasions. The bacon-wrapped filet mignon is to die for.

Mitchell’s Ocean Club has always been a favorite for a fun evening at their bar. However, we decided to get a table for Valentine’s Day for a more intimate experience. We couldn’t have had a better time. We were warmly greeted by the hosts and then the greetings just kept coming. The young man serving water was equally as friendly and enthusiastic as the managers. You could sense that each staff member took great pride in their positions. Eric and Hannah were in good form as always, efficiently and managing their teams during a busy holiday evening. Always with a smile and positive attitude. Our server, Justin, was completely invested in our experience. His timing and awareness of our needs was impressive. He knew when to come check on us and when to give space. Not easy on a busy night. His suggestions were spot on so we tried things we might not have normally tried. The bread is scratch made and served hot. Not many restaurants even offer bread anymore. I ordered the 10oz lobster tail which was melt in your mouth delicious with perfectly cooked asparagus. My girlfriend enjoyed every bite of the Japanese A5 Wagyu strip steak. In addition we always share an order of our favorite, the goat cheese ravioli. It’s so easy to stay home and order in these days, but if you’re going to make the effort to go out to dinner, a first class experience, like Mitchell’s Ocean Club, makes it well worth your while. Looking forward to our next visit!

If things did not cost money, I would fly my hover car from my Malibu beach house to Mastro’s Columbus every day. Even taking the world as it is, I will need to go back soon. Mastro’s just opened in Columbus, and it truly seems like Rome was built there in a day. The service my wife and I received was unparalleled. From the Moment Nathan brought us to our table, to the moment Izzy picked up our plates, I felt not only the satisfaction of being cared for by the highest category of professionals, but that I was in the company of people who were genuinely invested in making sure we had the most romantic dinner possible. The head of the show was our waiter Christian, who couldnt have treated us better if we were his own family. He gave us recommendations, introduced us to the chef, and at the end of the evening, even gave us a complimentary dessert, which spelled out the occasion we were celebrating in chocolate letters. This is an establishment where the only thing as incredible as the food is the staff’s dedication to radical hospitality. I couldn’t recommend it more highly, and if your night is even half as special as Christian made ours — you’ll never ever forget it. -Will Stryker
