The Tomahawk was cooked to perfection, and when topped with fresh truffle made it taste even better.

With so many steakhouses in New York City, it’s easy to overlook some of the historic stalwarts. I recently dined at Il Mulino Prime in SoHo and was thoroughly impressed by both the service and the outstanding food. Our porterhouse steak for two was perfectly cooked and flavorful, complemented by delicious vegetables, a well-balanced Caesar salad, and a fresh tuna starter. The wine list, though small, was thoughtfully curated, and the desserts were exceptional. Service was attentive without being intrusive, adding to the intimate experience of this 13-table gem. A solid evening at a spot that deserves more recognition.

It was a great experience for a first date. I liked the ambience and the food. The location is great as well for a little walk after dinner
