Best Steak Restaurants in Portola Valley

Omg this was most definitely my favorite steakhouse In California my husband and I have been to plenty. I chose this place for the first time to celebrate my husband birthday and we were not disappointed the food is amazing the service was great the atmosphere is beautiful. The butter cake at the end just did it for us I mean it’s to die for. I will most definitely return

My second time dining here. Overall great experience for our Anniversary dinner. The service was great, food was great (highly recommend the baked potato's as a side, atmosphere was gorgeous located right by the water overseeing nice boats and yachts. Props to the floor manager in which I believe his name was Cameron, (apologies if I got that wrong). Very nice gentleman, highly recommend anyone to try out this restaurant. If you're in for drinks, try the "Hurrica Cocktail." We were 5 women and we all had salads. The kitchen catered to our individual requests for modification such as dressing on the side or no onions or bell peppers The salads were very fresh and the grilled chicken was hot and moist - not always the case in other establishments. We did wait about 30 minutes for the salads to arrive. Sundance serves warm, fresh sour dough bread wit both butter and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We had a birthday in our group and the waiter brought a complimentary slice of mud pie with a candle in it. We split it among us and it was delicious.

We have never experienced a better night out. Everyone from the host greeting us with a warm smile to David the manager introducing himself and offering his services as needed to our excellent server Hannah was a top notch employee. We felt like royalty as they took such great care of us. The food, the service and the atmosphere were all better than we could have dreamed of. You have to have the smoking manhattan from the bar. It was so tasty and the present was superb. If you are fortunate enough to have Hannah serving you, I promise you will have the best waitress in the business. We eat out often and over the 3 decades of doing so, I have never seen anyone better at what they do. We can’t wait to go back.

We always have the best meal when we come here. Which isn’t that often only because we live far away. But highly recommended to anyone looking for a great meal and an even better experience
