Best Steakhouses in East Colfax

I had the best experience having Thanksgiving dinner here! My father came to town, so I wanted to choose a place that was impressive. Every dish was perfectly cooked. I think my favorite, aside from the New York Strip, was the potatoes au gratin. Really, everything on the menu was impeccable. I definitely think everyone who is looking for a high quality experience should visit Guard and Grace. The service was phenomenal, the food was delicious. and we had the most amazing experience!

This was an exceptional meal. Normally I am unable to trust kitchen with a nut allergy and not be nervous about cross contamination. I asked if their thanksgiving menu had nuts and she immediately pointed out one of the sides that had pecan, but she would check on the rest of the meal. She not only checked but double checked for me. A few years ago, I went to another HIGH-END restaurant and was unable to have their thanksgiving menu, but they assured me the desert that my husband got on that menu was safe. It was not and I ended up having an allergic reaction. The waitperson "assumed" it was safe because the menu did not mention nuts in the description instead of checking. Ruth's Chris went above and beyond, and I will recommend them!

Went to STK for Thanksgiving dinner. Place was very busy. Servers hustled and were very attentive. For how busy it was, service was prompt and the food was excellent. Filet was cooked perfectly. Everything turned out fantastic. Will come back again!

It was really good. The lamb chop fondue is amazing and I highly recommend them. I had the filet and lobster tail it was awesome. The only issue was the fondue was weird, flavor wasn’t bad but the texture was off. I had the Mac and cheese and they don’t do a lobster Mac but I asked for it and they made it. So I appreciated that. I have been here many times and I will continue to return.

801 Chophouse is to be experienced as an event! The service was impeccable (especially our waiter Glen), the food expertly prepared and the ambiance was relaxing. We started with the steamed mussels, which was a very generous portion in a garlic butter bath. Next, we had the wedge salad and the tomato onion salad which were both delicious. Our main courses included the prime rib and the petite filet. Again, both prepared to perfection. Sides included the asparagus and Maytag potatoes, which were sharables. Finally, we had the souffle for dessert. It was light, but flavorful. We will visit again for a special occasion. The prices are high - the meal described along with a couple of cocktails ran nearly $400. I recommend taking a look at the menu before you go so you won't be surprised. Definitely worth it for an anniversary or birthday. Beware some people bring their small children. You may get seated next to a family. Otherwise, worth a try!
