Yopparai (which means “a drunk” in Japanese because of its great sake list) is simple, excellent Japanese home cooking. The counter seats are for 2 people and that’s the best way to eat there if it’s just 2. The staff is outstanding and quality is excellent. They always have specials so it never gets old. My favorites are the sashimi sampler where the only use the best fish and great variety, karaage (fried chicken), kanuni (pork belly in dashi broth), tsukune (a chicken meatball patty topped with a raw egg yolk you mix together) and grilled squid! Love this place. Always feel like home!More infoYopparaiPrice: Very Expensive• Izakaya• Lower East Side•4.6

The chefs and sake boy really know how to engage with the crowd, provide excellent service, and deliver and unforgettable night. You leave so full and so happy that the hour just flies by. Already the 2nd time my friends and I have dined here because we couldn’t stop talking about the first time. I recommend it to everyone!!More infoSushi on Me - Jackson HeightsPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Jackson Heights•4.9
- OTOpenTable DinerNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoWe went to Koma for the Tuna carving and it was a great experience. Delicious and fresh fish and really cool seeing the carving. We were worried that we had a table outside but it’s a completely enclosed space with heaters, so we were really comfortable sat outside in the middle of November!More infoKOMA sushiPrice: Moderate• Sushi• Midwood•4.3

- MMarshavipNew York City •27 reviews5.0Dined on 29 Sept 2024So so fun!! Very cool and unique experience to do. Just go into it knowing the food is mediocre (which is expected from an experience like this) would still give it 5 stars. The employees are awesomeMore infoSushi on Me - WilliamsburgPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Williamsburg•4.9
