We are Kaizen. It all started when longtime friends from Flushing, Queens, came together with an idea that would soon be introduced to their hometown city. They all shared the same love for Japanese traditions and the simplicity, yet, flavorful ingredients that are carefully constructed into each Temaki. Our passion is to bring an authentic and contemporary Temaki (hand rolls) & Omakase concept that highlights delicate hand rolls and artful craft cocktail pairings to Flushing, Queens. The executive chef, Ben, also a former executive chef at Sushi Seki, an Alumnus of Michelin-starred Tim Ho Wan, in Hong Kong, and New York’s O Ya and Kissaki omakase sushi bar. From the decadent rice to each finely cut of fish, Ben takes pride in every individual piece that he prepares.Important: The sushi counter is only reserved for omakase.

    Another superb evening at Moonstone! We have dined at Moonstone many times and once again they provided top notch service and delicious food. The vegetable moo shoo and the teriyaki salmon ( my favorite) is consistently on point. We will be back and if you haven’t dined here I highly recommend.

    Jun is amazing. Andre is phenomenal. Lois is the best, Chor and Pia also. Every single employee is magnificent. The hostess, Teresa, is one of the smartest women I've met. I love Kissaki. Come stop by!

    Dagim is a restaurant we hadn't tried yet and we saw that the reviews were overwhelmingly excellent. A quick scan of their menu suggested many good options for dinner so we made our reservations. When we walked in at 7:15 on a Saturday night there were only a few people dining (and the space is quite large). We wondered why it was so dead. We looked over the menu and ordered some drinks, an app and the main course. One person had the Mykonos Branzino, which was phenomenal. Another had the Dover Sole which was also stellar. I had the blackened salmon which ranks among the best pieces of salmon I have ever had. A large filet that the moist and seasoned perfectly. We definitely will be back and would recommend. Oh, and by the time we left, the place was absolutely packed with people. Guess we were just a bit early. Excellent meal!!
