- JJuanNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was my first time at CM Steakhouse and I will be returning the service was great, the steaks were perfectly cooked at our desired temperatures and the sides were solid as well. The only real complaint I had was that the table we were sat in was small, when I brought this up to host to see if we can be seated at the bigger table I was told that larger parties were going to be seated soon on those tables but when the other guests were seated they were parties of two as well which I thought was pretty weird considering we were a party of two as well. But other than that, everything was perfect, our waitress was very diligent at taking away plates and making sure the table was cleared and cleaned before the main course. We came to celebrate my brother’s birthday and it was his and my sister in law’s first omakase experience. They raved about the food, the ambiance, our chef and the entire experience! They’re definitely omakase fans now! Chef Gene was an incredible part of our experience! He was hysterical and so personable! He had us laughing the whole hour and made our dinner even more memorable! We’ll definitely be back soon and hope to see Chef Gene at future reservations! The music selection and playlist was also on point!
