   We had the table that we requested and the most gracious service all evening. The food was delicious - salmon with roasted vegetables, scallops, apple salad, pizza for our party of six. Everything was cooked and presented perfectly and followed up with a most creamy and delicious tiramisu. We were having a reunion with old friends and we stayed til the restaurant closed. They were so hospitable to us all evening. Highly rec this great restaurant for wonderful food and a comfortable experience!

   Dined here on a Saturday night, November 2024. Made a reservation. Was seated in the bar area. Asked to be moved to a quieter spot. They responded those are for reservations. We had a reservation. With apprehension they moved us. The manager  was flying around making the whole process unnecessarily complicated for the hostess. Didn’t understand the difference between our reservation and the ones  other people had made.  From the moment we sat down they were trying to move along our dining experience. One member of our party could not attend and they flung the chair from our table as if it was on fire.  (It was alarming) When our drinks came, the  server brought the Prosecco for one of the diners  and asked if she wanted to open it because “it’s fun” to open. The whole moment felt really weird.  We were told what the dinner special was upon ordering. Not when we placed our drink or appetizer order.  Also thought it was odd to not get bread in an Italian restaurant.  Our entrees came out before we finished our appetizer. The meals were good. I’d give the food a solid 3 stars.   When our entrees came the very harried manager said dessert is on him. Seemed  like a nice gesture for the weird treatment we received after requesting a different table. Before we finished our meals the server asked if we’d like to go containers. She also put the check down. I mentioned that we were offered dessert. She was quite perplexed and dare say offended by this. She brought us a tiramisu. None of us eat tiramisu.  I asked for the dessert menu. She replied, this is your dessert. Fine, I’d like to order one that we like. I’ll pay.  She was not pleased. We decide on a dessert and  she informs us they don’t have it. Her tone and eye rolling said it all. She offered some dessert items not on the menu. Perhaps specials? That they obviously don’t offer.  When she put the check down the second time we placed our credit cards with the bill. She returned the bill and pronounced that they don’

   I’m a regular at da capo, and yesterday was NOT the service that a customer wants. Disrespectful manager and waitress who got the orders wrong and then pinned it on the customer for not clarifying what we wanted. 30 min goes by and they brought out the same dish that we saw sitting in the window in the kitchen - they didn’t fix the order for us. After we asked where our meal was, they checked on it and brought out the same meal again. 3 min later we got what we originally ordered 1 hour ago. The waitress was incredibly rude and not customer friendly. She doesn’t pass the bill for showing good customer service. For the manager to act the same way speaks even louder. For something that was such a minor issue, this was astonishing to see and customers around our table were looking at the manager and waitress with the way they were speaking to us. For a place that I used to be a regular at, I’ll be skipping for a while.

   We were really surprised with the high energy vibe and really authentic Italian at da Capo this time around. We haven’t been here in a few years and I was pleasantly surprised with the upbeat vibe and tastey entrees. We will be coming back soon.

   The noise level was really remarkably difficult. A combination of speakers playing music and leaf blowers right outside the open outdoor area. My rating of a three for Ambience was based on the music playing which interferes with conversation. The leaf blowers are an anomaly and I did not consider them. The service was excellent and the food, pizzas for both of us, was really good.

   I travel to Avon often and Da Capo is my favorite restaurant. Great appetizers and beautiful and tasty entrees. Wish I have room for desserts but may have to take it home.

   We had a great evening with delicious Italian pizza in a beautiful ambience. The staff was very accommodating, nice and attentive! We are very happy to come back!!!
