    Da Maurizio offers two private rooms. The first and largest room hosts up to 45 people and is completely closed off from the remainder of the restaurant by sliding frosted glass doors. This room has access to our outdoor patio for summer functions and has its own private washrooms. The second private room is secluded and hosts up to 25 people. It is a smaller and cozy room that is separated from the other diners by our bar area and a small flight of steps. Both rooms are perfect for business meetings, weddings, family celebrations and continuing education programs. Also, both rooms are suitable should you require audio/visual equipment for your event. Custom menus are available for both rooms.

    The food was good. The service was poor. Our server did not light our candle or bring the bread basket, all other tables had this. Our purchased bottle of wine was not topped up and not accessible to us. We had to get up from our dinner to seek out bar staff to retrieve our bottle and pour a second glass to enjoy with our meal. Halifax is a very competitive dining market and this restaurant is not keeping pace.

    A lovely restaurant with an old world feel. Nice wine list and a great menu if you want upscale Italian cuisine. One of our go to restaurants for a long meal experience with friends.

    Our experience was incredible, the owner Tanya greeted us and I’ve never felt so welcome in a restaurant before. She was very personable and inviting. The food did not disappoint, everything was delicious and wa kept wanting more! Highly recommend, we will be back! Thank you again

    Incredible experience at Da Maurizio. From the staff to the ambiance and the food - it was all very good. Get the arancini!! The warm radicchio salad was divine!

    Outstanding dining experience. Staff are attentive, more than accommodating, and the food was topnotch. Was dining with a friend who had a couple of special requests because of dietary needs, requests were met immediately and with good cheer. Second time there, and I certainly will be back and I recommend this for beautiful Italian food.

    This is absolutely the best place to dine in Halifax. Elegant surroundings, excellent, exquisite food and experience. Tanya was very welcoming and has a magnificent and knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed our server Hannah as she made us feel like family. Tanya stirred up the best Martini and Cosmo we've ever had. I can vouch for the award winning menu and wine list. Fine dining at it's best.

    Friends of ours told us of their experiences at the restaurant so we went to see for ourselves and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the servers were all lovely and attentive. Definitely recommend this for any special occasion with its elevated atmosphere or just to have a fabulous meal for no special reason at all. Thank you!!

    Wonderful evening at Da Maurizio. Greeted and seated by the owner, Tanya, she is always so welcoming. Fantastic new menu. Waited on by Kelly. He is the best. Drinks and wine selection were great! The food was delicious. My husband and I started with the Caesar salad and he had the Fruiti de Mare, seafood with pasta and I had the Quattro Fromagi Gnocchi. Chocolate cake and a cake with sauce topped off a great evening. Can't wait to go back!
