              You just can’t go wrong with dinner at Duke’s. We started with wontons that were SO delicious. My husband had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and so tender and flavorful. I had the macadamia crusted mahi mahi which was incredible. We finished with the huli pie which is more than plenty for two or three people. We had a reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival at a table with an ocean view. Our server Chloe was so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and offered superb service. We always plan our trip to Hawaii around our Duke’s reservation. ❤️🌴

              I know people love it here but we didn’t have a great experience. We were seated in the row of booths which is farthest from the ocean. We asked to move but they weren’t able to accommodate, which was understandable. There are fans above all the tables but the booths have no air circulation and just have hot, stale air. If you go, don’t take a booth. Food-wise, it tasted like it was from a quick service chain. My child got the filet and it was so bad, she didn’t eat it. I got the steamed fish and shrimp. The sauce on the seafood was really salty and artificial tasting. The accompanying rice was flavorless and dry. The hula pie lived up to its reputation and was so good. Service was friendly but nothing special. Overall the experience was “meh” at best. We won’t be back and are reconsidering our reservations at its sister restaurant.
