The rotating floor which adds to the ambiance was not working. This feature is one reason why people go to the Eagles Nest. It is understandable that it requires maintenance from time to time but if the feature is inoperable, compensation with a free dessert or percentage off the bill or something should be offered.

When we arrived we were told the restaurant was turning but it was not turning. Then we asked our wait staff about it rotating and they acted like they didn’t know it was not rotating. Finally we were told there must have been a mechanical problem. The whole reason you go to this place is to enjoy different views of the city while rotating! My NY strip was under cooked and had much to much fat and gristle. Very disappointing visit for Christmas Eve.

Delicious food with lots of different options! Only one trouble we encountered, our server forgot a few things (the salad came undressed and once told, the server took a long time to bring the dressing and then forgot to bring another person their coffee with dessert). For a fine dining experience we don't anticipate that will happen. Overall, the view, very friendly service staff, the holiday decorations and the food made it a wonderful experience!

It was a fairly clear winter evening at The Eagles Nest as we made our first visit to the since moving here from Nashville, Tennessee. The security guard at the huge kiosk inside the front doors could not direct us to the correct elevators. We asked at the hotel desk and found our way up. My wife faced the Marriott and I faced the edge of downtown as we ordered drinks. Our hors' d'oeuvres were very delicious and we split a steak for our meal. As we left for the evening we took one more glance and Lucas Oil was over my left shoulder and was lit up beautifully as the rest of downtown disappeared around the never ending corner. Cheers Indy and The Eagles Beat for a great Holiday view and filling dinner.

Gotta be honest, it was very middling for the price. Much different than when I went here a decade ago. First, the mechanism that makes the restaurant revolve wasn’t working properly, so we moved maybe 15 degrees over an hour and a half. The crab cakes seemed to be mostly filler. My salmon was fine but that’s it. The truffle mac and cheese was good. Service was also good. All in all, with the rotation problem and the forgettable food, I’d probably pass the next time I’m in Indy
