El Vino Fleet Street is an institution, having been there forever. When we visited for a 19:30 midweek dinner in February, the welcome was warm and friendly. The service was rather variable and, after placing our orders, we were told that several items were not available. Disappointingly, after the main course, we were told that it was too late to order dessert as they would be closing shortly. However, the food was well prepared and reasonably priced and the wine was excellent.

Excellent overall been going for years great choice and quality of wines fairly priced . Food was very good apart from ham hock tested like spam wet and insipid

We had a lovely evening in the 'secret courtyard' The snacks and wine were delicious and not too pricey for London. All four members of staff that served us through the night were absolutely lovely. Table service is a nice touch! Will definitely return to try the food menu too. Thanks for a lovely evening 😊

We made this reservation weeks in advance of our trip. Upon arriving there was a sign on the door that they were closed until the 3rd of Jan. Then I got a confirmation request from open table so I confirmed. I also received an email asking me to cancel if we weren’t going to dine because times were so tough for these restaurants and they were being hurt by no shows. I got confused so I called. No answer. I walked down to the restaurant and confirmed the sign saying closed. I thought maybe there was another location or a second floor. Nothing. So now I had to scramble to find dinner. The hilarious thing is that after all this idiocy, I got 100 pts and a request for a review. Lol

Poor atmosphere, we were sat upstairs alone - down stairs seemed very busy Waiters seemed uninterested Card machine wasn't working I was told to take a couple of minutes walk to get cash... 12 minutes later still walking to cash point Food was nice, everything else was below average

Lovely, buzzy tapas pub. Great vibe and food was lovely. Quite expensive for what it was but staff were so attentive (without being overly so) and we had a lovely time.
