Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Chef Anthony Mazza's menu features slow-cooked short rib and pork cheek and Colorado River Ranch wagyu steak. The nostalgia and historical memorabilia and photos remain. Every experience here is a very special occasion based on the 100/10 quality of food, service, and ambiance - the staff from host to server to owner makes it feel like you’re coming home to family & friends every time we’re in Avon! Josh is one of the best servers we’ve ever had anywhere - he is so knowledgeable, personable, and we left feeling like fast friends. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant & Josh for any occasion big or small!

Lovely space, friendly service. It was a very quiet night when we dined. The chicken skewers and potato/ tomato dishes were very good. The mussels and chorizo tapas just didn’t work. Prices were high for some dishes. I hope they make they really tried to make it a nice experience.

Can't say enough about how great of a time we had at The Saloon! The food was fantastic, the margaritas are every bit as good as I heard they were and the service was excellent. Plus, it has such a cool vibe. The hostess, Mary, truly made our night with all of her tips for visiting the area. We will definitely be back!
