A little embarrassed and disappointed when we paid the bill. We wanted to pay mostly in cash, over £100, but the waitress was quite unhelpful and told us how they couldn't take the cash and we needed to pay by card! She then proceeded to tell us a story about a huge theft by a director or manager who was prosecuted when a large value of money was taken. We found this quite unprofessional and unnecessary. It seemed a few minutes went by where she stood in silence not knowing what to do! She took our cash (it is legal tender) and we left. A little disappointing end to our evening. The food here is amazing and the staff are to, from the welcome you receive to the service at the table.
