They anticipate every need, wish and want. It's no wonder they've succeeded brilliantly for decades. 10/10More infoSaloon RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• South Philly•4.9

My friend had rack of lamb, and I had the interesting bone marrow linguini with a pesto pasta-delicious, along with a tasty spicy margarita. Menu has a nice mix of both traditional and non-traditional items. The friendly owner came by to chat and we enjoyed watching his very large family celebrating at the restaurant that night. Waitress Seline did a great job. Lovely bar areas, with a really pretty setting on the water. Definitely recommend.More infoCapriPrice: Expensive• Italian• Philadelphia•4.7

Despite being packed with guests, the service was exceptional. The staff remained friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient – it was clear they were working hard, but still managed to make us feel like VIPs. The pre-set Thanksgiving meal was absolutely incredible! Every dish was perfectly prepared. It truly felt like a home-cooked meal, but with a gourmet twist. Given how seamless and enjoyable our experience was, we will absolutely be coming back for Thanksgiving next year. It's rare to find a place that handles the holiday rush so well while still delivering top-notch food and service. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stress-free, delicious Thanksgiving feast! A huge thank you to the entire Twisted Tail team for making our Thanksgiving so memorable. We’ll definitely be seeing you again next year!More infoThe Twisted TailPrice: Moderate• American• Society Hill•4.6
- SSarahvipPhiladelphia County •153 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoVery much enjoyed our Monday-evening dinner with friends. On a Monday evening, it was quieter toward the front, but the back room was energetic. The decorations were festive, perhaps for the holidays, perhaps year-round--we'll have to return to find out! Service was terrific and the food delicious. We shared: - Guacamole de la casa (3 guacamoles: mango, spicy, and regular), each of which were tasty and everyone had a different favorite! - Chips con 3 salsas (red, green, and borracha), each of which were tasty and I couldn't pick a favorite! Two diners had the Quesabirrias tacos and one the Lengua tacos--everyone was pleased with their order. I tried the Carne Asada from the grill and while the sweet plantains were prepared in a drier/crispier style than I prefer, the meat was perfectly seasoned. We shared an order of churros and tres leches cake--the latter was drier than expected, but the 3 churro-lovers thought they were terrific (crispy on the outside, softer on the inside).More infoTamalex Bar & GrillPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Society Hill•4.7
- BBrookesterPhiladelphia County •13 reviews5.0Dined on 17 Mar 2023We visited Paddy Whacks on Saint Paddy's day. The places was busy. We were able to find a table for four. The place was packed with people celebrating Saint Paddy's day. The waitress was very attentive with all the commotion going on throughout the place. The food came out in a timely fashion, and it was pretty good for as busy as they were. Would definitely come back.More infoPaddy Whacks Irish Sports PubPrice: Moderate• American• Society Hill•4.5
